Fishing

The Dingle Gate is perfectly situated for both sea fishing and fresh water fishing. We are just 15mins from Inch beach, which is excellent for Bass, Flounder and Thorn Back Ray amongst others.

FISHING

Annascaul lake and rivers are quite good for salmon and sea trout. All around the peninsula there are great spot’s for all sort’s of fishing, congar eels, bass and many more. We can also arrange deep sea fishing trips, must be pre booked. We can supply bait and tackle so you can travel light.

Walking

The hostel is also perfectly situated for walking. There are a number of different walks around the village of Annscaul and Inch. Ranging from easy walks for all 

the family along the coast and beaches to the more difficult walks up the mountains for the more experienced walkers. The hostel is also just 1km from the Dingle Way Walk, just 1 ½ km before Annascaul. Making it an ideal place to start your adventure. For more info on the walks don’t hesitate to call.

Surfing

If you are mad about the sea then this is definitely the place for you to be. Inch beach is just a 10 minute drive from the hostel. The beach is renowned for it’s waves which come in straight off the atlantic, wave after wave and all this surrounded by breath taking scenery. There are many more spots near to us for surfing like Brandon Beach

Others

There is something to do for everyone on the Penninsula. You can go horse riding through the hills and mountains, or scuba diving in the depths of the Atlantic. You can bring the gang dolphin watching or just relax on the secluded beach. The village of Annascaul itself has 8 pubs, one of which was the home of the famous Antarctic explorer Tom Crean. Another famous pub is Dan Foley’s an old drinking haunt of singer Christy Moore.
